British DiaMalt celebrated its centenary on 27th January 2009 . The company has been manufacturing and supplying the Worldwide food and beverage industry with premium malt products for 100 years. Encompassing a three acre site with extensive manufacturing, warehousing and administrative buildings all in situ, the British DiaMalt factory produces malt extract, diastatic malt extract and cereal syrups, twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week. The site also includes a purpose-built beer, cider and wine kit production unit. This comprises of three seperate production lines producing premium kits for the domestic brewer.
Our Newark factory today is one of the most
technologically advanced within the industry. We have two totally
independent production plants. One plant is dedicated to manufacturing our
standard high volume non-diastatic malt extracts and cereal syrups and the
second plant to the manufacture of the more specialised diastatic malt
extracts.
At our factory we combine these traditional ingredients
with state-of-the-art technology. Today, the British DiaMalt factory is
fully updated and highly automated, which has resulted in achieving even
greater accuracy and consistency in our products. Our brewing processes
are controlled by PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers), which are linked
to a central computer station, from which the whole process is strictly
monitored and controlled.
