1.8kg Beer & Country Cider Kits

The International Best Selling Beer Kit from the Heart of England

The Famous Name
John Bull is the symbolic 'typical Englishman', with the first references dating back to 1712. He has been portrayed as a strong, patriotic, good humoured, straight-forward and bold gentleman. Over the following centuries, 'John Bull' became a symbol for all of Britain, not just England. From the mid-19th century the John Bull character became more established through political cartoons, where he appeared in the famous Union Jack waistcoat. In the 1st World War he featured on army recruitment posters and was also used throughout the 2nd World War. He has appeared in both British and American press.

A Best International Selling Brand
Available across in the UK, Europe, North America and Oceania, John Bull Beer & Cider Kits are a world best-selling name.
Created by us and made for over 30 years, John Bull Beer Kits have always been made with the finest malted barley. John Bull Beer Kits produce beers that are distinctively different from other top-selling international brands, as John Bull is the only one made in Newark. John Bull Beer Kits contain special malt extracts, made and canned in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire and each beer kit comes with our own premium quality John Bull Ale Yeast. The range includes an extensive variety of beers for all tastes and Low Carbohydrate varieties for those on reduced sugar diets. John Bull Country Cider Kit is highly-popular not
only because of its great value, but mainly because of its premium cider kit recipe.

Quality Beer Kits, Quality Beers
The concept of brewing is simple and, subject to following very easy to understand instructions, the quality is guaranteed. Our factory has exactly the same production equipment as a brewery, the major difference is that where a brewery ferments the wort, we evaporate it to 80% solids. Thus a standard brewing wort becomes malt extract (or concentrated malted barley wort). To make John Bull 1.8kg Beer Kits we take the finest quality English malted barley and extract them to develop unmistakable clarity and release their natural flavour compounds. Each variety has its own blend of hops to compliment the malt perfectly. The result of this is that, to make quality beers at home, all that needs to be done is to put back the water evaporated out in our factory, add sugar, a sachet of John Bull Premium Ale Yeast and let nature take its course.
